Like last year I am going to be doing a holiday sale over at the VACANT store. Everything is 20% so if you want to order anything for Christmas this is the time to do it. One new item has been added and that’s the Orphan sticker drawn by Michelle Nunnelly.

As far as the hiatus goes, it’s still happening. Might take longer than anticipated to have Vacant up and running with me trying to get a job and stuff. Sorry, guys.

VACANT goes on long hiatus

I was going to wait until issue 6 was done and the graphic novel was out and printed to do this, but VACANT is going on a long hiatus. This time it won’t just be for a month. It will be for 2-3 months.

Even though most of Issue 6 is already done, I am delaying the printing until November-December, which I now is a big jump from September, which is what I promised. The reason on why is that I had an exhausting summer and desperately need a break. Right now drawing VACANT is painful, and I don’t want that. I’d rather everyone receive an inspired, good quality comic, then a stress, rushed one. So the delay will be worth it. Especially since Issue 6 is a very good issue with entertaining visuals. I’d hate to draw some of my favorite scenes tiredly.

Because of this there will probably be an additional prize for the Kickstarter backers. Even though all of my readers are extremely kind and supportive, I apologize. I understand that this sort of thing is frustrating.

I, of course, will still be posting art. Also, I am working on something else VACANT related which will be very exciting. I will talk about it later down the road when more of it is done. So stay tuned for guilty pleasure art.

UPLOAD MISTAKE AND GUEST ART

First, there was an accident in the last update. Page 15 was not uploaded properly. Because of that most of you probably haven’t read it. I fixed the problem and you can read it now. Sorry about that. A lot of you were probably very confused because the conversation with Aex probably seemed like it ended quickly.

Second, as everyone may know, the guest art submissions are closed for Volume 1 of VACANT. If you missed your chance, there will be another one for Volume 2 of course, but that will probably be a year from now.

Because the Kickstarter has gained a lot more money than I thought (I was preparing for $3,000 if it went over the goal amount) everyone who submitted will be printed. Which is good because there was no way I was going to choose because I liked them all so much. They were all, seriously, very impressive. Thank you to everyone who sent me art.

Volume 1 Kickstarter has been launched!

The Kickstarter for Vacant’s graphic novel has launched! I am hoping that it will help print Volume 1 of the series. Volume 1 will have issues 1-6 in it with bonus material. ISSUE 4 FINISHES AND INTERVIEW

Seven more pages of VACANT has been uploaded for Issue 4 and 5. Also, the Vacant site was transferred over to WordPress which has a better comment system and an RSS feed. I hope you guys like the updated set up.

FEBRUARY UPDATE

Four more pages of been uploaded for Issue 4. It’s coming to a close soon, so on March 1st that should wrap up this Issue. And then we can move on to issue 5.

A lot to update about this month. VACANT has been asked to be put onAmilova.com, a website that translates comics. Currently, it’s in French, but soon will be translated into Spanish. A group by the name of “We Make Comics” alsointerviewed me on deviantart about my comics.

Michelle and I started a podcast a few weeks ago talking about the VACANT updates. It gets uploaded every Sunday on tumblr. More art has also been posted there if you want to check it out. There will be no more AMCs because I am too busy. The Podcast will now answer them. If you would like to ask me a question about my comic please e-mail me.

I apologize about the late update this month. Yesterday, I was at a wedding. Also, I apologize for the lack of pages. This month I was having a hard time being motivated. Hopefully next month more will be done. I don’t have a good excuse for the lack of work but the fact that I was not feeling like myself.

ISSUE 4 UPLOADED
November 1st 2012

Since redrawing issue 1 was taking too long, I moved on to Issue 4. 6 pages have been uploaded. Page 7 will be uploaded when it’s done since I don’t like cutting the comic off in the middle of a scene.

VACANT was talked breifly about on a podcast with Ross Campbell and Nick Marino. Check it outhere. Remember, new AMCs have been added to the archive. Also, there is new questions iin theF.A.Q., and the images have been added to the gallery.

NYCC, MICE, and EXPERIENCE AT SPX
September 26 2012

So MICE is this weekend and I will be tabling with my sister, Michelle Nunnelly, again. Sadly, because of SPX, I am not prepared. I am out of almost everything, so I’ll be attending more than selling. Sorry guys. You can come and say hi though if your there.

I will be prepared at NYCC. I will a few other folk at booth 2245 in the small press section. Issue 1-3, the prologue, and prints will be there. Also I wrote about my SPX experience if anyone wants to read.

SPX and STORE

VACANT ISSUE 3 UPLOADED
July 1st

Pages 1-3 have been posted. I apologize that not all 1-11 are. Due to my internet randomly dying, a vacation to visit family, and not having a scanner, I don’t have them done in time. They are almost finished, however. Within a couple days, I will notify everyone when they are up. I greatly apologize again.

KICKSTARTER

VACANT’s Kickstarter has started. It’s a small project right now just to help me print Issue 1-3 for conventions. Right now I simply don’t have enough to last me and don’t have the money to pay for it. The goal is only $500. Even paying $5 helps a lot. Thanks so much.
